No matter where you live, you can provide services
for the Lyme Project that are beneficial. We are in need of:
-Volunteers to help collect current and accurate Lyme
Disease information so we can distribute it to those requesting information.
-We need Advocates who will help us by going to rallies
and speaking to those with power and getting our concerns heard.
-We need Advocates to keep us abreast on changes in the
political and insurance worlds that we need to respond to, and how we should
be responding.
-We need medical doctors to help convince colleagues
that they are doing more harm than good by treating Lyme patients when
they are not Lyme Disease doctors. We will need help from within
the medical community if we are going to get these practices and opinions
changed!
-We need attorneys or other interested persons who can
help these persons disabled by Lyme Disease to fill out their Social Security
Disability request forms in such a way that will help speed up an approval.
-We need "mystery shoppers" to go "undercover" and check
out work at home jobs that are submitted to us so we can only offer legitimate
positions to those wanting to work at home. We will need to weed
out any scams submitted to us, and we will need to make sure that companies
are upfront about any expenses, and that the job is as described and workers
will be paid.
-We will need volunteer fundraisers to help us pay for
all we do so we can provide services to the Lyme Disease community without
restriction.
We will be listing applications here within the month. Interested parties should simply contact us in the meantime to express an interest in how you'd like to help out!
